Unlike plastic landscape fabric, these Hemp Mulch Mats are made without synthetic binders and naturally biodegrade over approximately three to four years. As the hemp decomposes, it returns organic material and nutrients to the soil.

How to Install

1. Remove existing weeds and loose debris from around the plant.

2. Open the center slit and position the hemp mulch mat around the base of the tree, shrub, or plant.

3. Lay the mat flat against the soil.

4. Secure it with 6-inch landscape staples to prevent movement from wind.

5. When using multiple mats or sections, overlap adjoining edges by approximately four inches.

Avoid placing the mat tightly against the trunk or main stem. Leave a small amount of space around the plant base to allow airflow.
